Take Action!

Once information has been gathered from each investigation, the Greenschools! team leads the way to reduce the environmental footprint of their school.  Together, team members identify school priorities and create action plans to establish sustainable, efficient, and conservation-based school practices.

A good example of an innovative, conservation-based action taken by a GreenSchools! team comes from Lake Middle School in Denver, CO.  Students de-lamped the fifth bulb in each hallway light fixture throughout the school. That’s translating into a monetary savings of $2,000 annually.
